Welcomes Summer with Children’s Writing Workshops
Dubai, 14 June, 2015: Looking to stay busy this summer? The Dubai International Writers’ Centre has an exciting line-up of summer writing workshops for children from LendMeYourLiteracy, the leading global classroom website.
‘We want more stories emerging from this region,’ said Abdulla Al Shaer, Director of the Dubai International Writers’ Centre. ‘When we launched the Centre last year, our aim was to encourage people to begin writing, and these summer workshops are the ideal place to start. Children are the story-tellers of the future and we are especially thrilled to host the LendMeYourLiteracy workshops for children, as their aim to encourage young people to write is well-aligned with our goals.’
Jenny Murray from LendMeYourLiteracy will be holding 3 workshops for children. The first will look at using everyday tools to inspire one’s imagination. This will be followed by a poetry writing workshop, and a comics and short story-writing workshop. All completed pieces of writing will be shared with a global audience on the LendMeYourLiteracy website. Parents have the option to buy all three workshops at a discounted cost. Places at all workshops can be bought online.
The Dubai International Writers’ Centre has hosted a number of writing workshops in the past six months and this summer promises to be a huge success. All details about the workshops are available on the Writers’ Centre website – www.elfdubai.org
