Here’s just a few things former students of Alex’s course have said:

“I’ve studied and taught writing for 15 years and this is one of the best workshops that I’ve ever done. Alex was knowledgeable, practical and supportive. Best of all, we got to see our plays actually performed on the last day, which was an invaluable part of learning what makes words work on stage.”

Corrie Macdonald, Writer and Editor, Brisbane, August 2011

“Excellent course, a great balance of theory and practice. The theory was well-presented in manageable blocks. But the highlight was definitely the play workshop, where we had the chance to work with actors and see our plays performed.”

Debbie Stephan, Canberra, May 2013

“I learnt so much and Alex was so perceptive of each and every thing, good and bad, related to theatre! Thanks for the encouragement Alex. I could never have had the courage to showcase the first draft of my play without your encouragement…”

Vanya Joshi, Delhi, May 2011

“Great compact workshop and lots of pearls of wisdom.”

Rosie Eliot, Bath, UK, 2010

“I got a lot out of it. Brilliant! Now I’m all fired up to write my play.”

Frank Cardani, Bath, UK, 2010
